> OpenHelvetia (Verein (Art. 60 ff. ZGB), UID CHE-169.123.156) runs the open directory of Switzerland's AI-ready data infrastructure. This website (https://openhelvetia.swiss) publishes the directory for humans and machines: human pages live under language paths (https://openhelvetia.swiss/de/ and https://openhelvetia.swiss/en/), machine outputs are language-neutral at the root. A data source enters the directory on one of three routes: self-publication, entry takeover or documented consent.

### Answer a question with the machine interface

The association's gateway at https://mcp.openhelvetia.swiss serves the toolset over two doors, no authentication, rate-limited per client:

- MCP (streamable HTTP, revision 2026-07-28): `POST https://mcp.openhelvetia.swiss/mcp` — add this URL as a remote MCP server in any MCP-capable client and the tools appear there.
- JSON door: `GET https://mcp.openhelvetia.swiss/tools` lists every capability with id, domain, summary and weight; `POST https://mcp.openhelvetia.swiss/tool/<id>` with a JSON body of the tool's arguments runs it. - Every answer carries its sources (ELI, article eId, retrieved wording); cite them, do not paraphrase them as your own.
