About us
Vision, mission, strategy
Where the association is going, what it does to get there, and in which order.

Vision
Switzerland's public data is as usable for machines as it is for people — findable, checked, with its provenance and its licence. Whoever asks the public sphere a question gets an answer with evidence instead of a plausible invention.
Mission
A neutral association keeps the open manifest standard and operates the access through which AI systems and people use the same sources. The data stays with its publishers; central is only its description.
Strategy
Two products on one infrastructure: the open infrastructure for developers and the citizen chat for everyone. We first build what we operate ourselves, and take the same admission route for our own entries as everyone else.
The path there
- Standard and verification — the manifest standard with its four-stage validation chain and a checker measuring entries live against their endpoints — with published results and a history that overwrites nothing.
- Our own interfaces — over the public federal sources Fedlex and LINDAS, behind a machine door with a budget and typed refusals; their verification state is in the directory, measured and shown.
- The citizen chat — the same checked sources, usable without technical knowledge — every figure with its source, and what was not read is said.
- Handing it on — publishing the findings and making the blueprint transferable: the standard and the verification are meant to be rebuildable outside this association.
What of this stands today and what is still missing is shown on the infrastructure page, with the state of every module.
