What we do

From what stands under Why we exist follow three tasks.

Keep an open standard

The manifest standard describes a data source so a machine can use it: interfaces, authentication, licence, publisher. It is public, versioned and formally checkable. Its wording is in the documentation under Reference, manifest standard.

Check entries, not claim them

Every entry is checked against its own declarations, and the state of that check is part of the register — «never checked» is not «checked, passed», and both are stated.

Build our own infrastructure

So the standard does not stay theory, we build our own access to public federal sources and show it with its state — including where something is still missing. The modules are on the infrastructure page, their guides in the documentation.
